Starting tomorrow 20th September, India will take on Australia in a 3-match T20I series with the rest of the two matches on 23rd and 25th September.
The Indian team will reach Mohali after a much-needed 12 day break since their early exit in the Asia Cup while the Australians will be riding high on confidence with their 3-0 win against New Zealand in the recently concluded ODI series.
Now, Let’s have a look at the 5 players who can prove to be an X-Factor in this series:
Number 5: Jasprit Bumrah
After recovering from an injury, India’s top pacer Jasprit Bumrah will be keen to perform for his team. His absence was very evident in the Asia Cup as bowling was the weakest link in the Asia Cup for India. The seamer is coming after a 2-month long break from International Cricket and will try to rattle the Australians with his bowling.
Number 4: Virat Kohli
In the previous decade, King Kohli has proved himself over and over again and does not need any validation from the outside world to prove his legendary. However, in the last couple of years, he was a little out of touch, but in this Asia Cup, Vintage Virat was there to be seen again and he will most certainly try to continue this run in the series against Australia as well.
Number 3: Aaron Finch
After announcing his retirement from the One-Day Internationals, Former Captain Finch will make his first appearance in a T20I game. His retirement cannot overshadow his phenomenal batting talent in T20Is and he can be the wall that might stand between India and the series win.
Number 2: Tim David
Mumbai Indians player and Singapore-born cricketer Tim David came into the limelight after his ability to hit monstrous sixes in the last season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In a recent video shared by Cricket Australia (CA), he can be seen sending the bowl out of the park repeatedly. Tim can definitely thrash India in the T20I series if not taken care of properly. He can also give his team a couple of overs in the middle which gives him an edge over any finisher in the world.
Number 1: Hardik Pandya
Gujarat Titans Captain and Indian all-rounder Pandya recently became social media’s darling after he rattled Pakistan in the first Indian encounter of the Asia Cup. Hardik Pandya’s form after winning the IPL has been phenomenal and the all-rounder will expect to keep it like that.
