Bajrang Punia injured his knee during a match against Abulmazhid Kudiev in a pre-Olympics tournament in Russia. He is India’s biggest hope to win an Olympic medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 in wrestling.
The recent knee injury of Bajrang Punia, one of India’s top medal contenders at the Olympics of Tokyo has shocked the nation. United World Wrestling has placed him second after Russian Gadzhimurad Rashidov in the 65kg weight category of the Tokyo Olympics. In a match in the Russian pre-Olympics, Bajrang wounded his knee against Abulmazhid Kudiev.

Since November 2018 the Olympic Podium Program has facilitated Bajrang, with financial assistance from the Olympics Target to international competition, equipment, coaching staff and off-pocket allowance. Bajrang’s financial assistance has been provided of ₹81 lakh has been provided.
Since, it is clear that his injury is nothing serious, it is sure that he will be a main attraction at the Olympics.
