Everton Star Arrested On Suspicion Of Child Sex Offences

An Everton FC player was arrested on suspicion of child sex offenses. Also, the club has confirmed that the player has been suspended.

A  Premier League footballer who plays for Everton has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offenses.  UK police said on Tuesday.

 The name of the player is still unknown who was arrested on Friday. It happened before being interviewed by officers, news agency AFP reported. He has been released on bail. “Officers arrested a man on Friday, July 16, 2021, on suspicion of child sex offenses. He is on police bail pending further inquiries,” Greater Manchester Police said in a statement on Tuesday.

What is the Current Situation:

“Everton can confirm it has suspended a First-Team player pending a police investigation,” the club said in a statement. 

“The Club will continue to support the authorities with their inquiries and will not be making any further statement at this time,” it added.

A Premier League footballer has been arrested on suspicion of child sexual abuse offenses. The player was arrested last Friday and interviewed by police before he was released on bail.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: “Officers arrested a man on Friday 16 July 2021 on suspicion of child sex offenses. He is on police bail pending further inquiries.”

The footballer has been suspended by his club while the investigation continues.

Everton released the following statement on Monday night. Also, at the same time, they declined to confirm whether it was the same player who had been arrested on suspicion of child sex offenses.
